While it would be interesting to write about a cool piece of equipment, I would like to talk about the best author in science formative assessment, Page Keeley. She has written some amazing books, and the Science House has many of them, but my favorite is the first one Science Formative Assessment: 75 practical strategies for linking assessment, instruction, and learning.

Marzano has cataloged the benefits of formative assessment, and this book it an amazing resource to get anyone started in any content area. Keeley's later books are more science focused, but this book is general enough to be useful to any teacher.

Check this one out today. Especially because I am finally returning it (but plan on checking it out again in the future!)
